It still hurts you know...

Month of hearts.. What the heck.. This really isn't bitterness because of my lonely Valentine's, for years, used to it, but the feel of loving and being loved by someone is something that I really miss for the past 9 months.

Didn't know moving on would really be this hard. Can't think of anything to do for me to say how I feel. Thought I'm over it. Am I? Guess not? Well.. Enough of all this obsession and foolishness. Now is the right time to stop. This day was supposed to be our 4th yr anniversary.. What the.. arrgggghhhh.. Oh well. I was hoping everything would be okay, that it would be back to normal, but no. Mooooove oooooonnn alex!! Not worth it...

Sometimes it's really nice to talk to yourself ain't it. Feeling all the stupidity and emptiness inside. Emoterang froglets again.

God knows how I feel. Please help me. Time will come. Right time. Be patient....

8 months to go..

I'm excited to finish school, finally. I'm on my second term on my second and last year in school! Crossing my fingers that I'll survive my Thesis A, Software Engineering, Java, Oracle blah blah.. Just hoping to get over all these major subjects..

I first entered college on May 2003, stayed for 6 months (or two trimesters), again, I was working as a service crew that time, but then I went back to working full time again. After 2 or 3 years, I decided to go back to school thinking that I really need it to get a better job, and probably get a chance to go abroad, specifically Canada. I heard you can't go there unless you reached your 2nd year in college. And so I decided to enroll in a computer school, since I have always wanted to explore the world of computers and technology. I was just so happy to be back in school, but didn’t really realize getting an IT course was so tough! Programming racks up my brains!

What makes it so tough for me is that I always end up really sleepy, or sometimes, well, always late in school or for work. I can really say being a working student is really tough and definitely not a joke at all. Trying to survive the pressure you get from both work and school, ugh, pain in the a-- , uhmm, nerves..

I wanted to say more about this, but, I’ll do it next time.. I know it's bitin.. J

My First Year Anniv

December 10, 2008 was the second time I started working at a call center again. And, now it's been a year. Wow for me.
Let me just tell a story about this career. I have tried a couple of interviews with several companies before I finally got hired as an agent. It was tough. To be honest, I wasn't good on the computer then. So much for their typing skills. I remember the first time I handled a call, it was for a British account and heck, I did not understand the guy at all, when all he said was, "I'd like to check on my order please." I've heard a lot of British accents already, like in movies, or even spoken with someone in person already, but on the phone, God, I was so nervous. I liked the account, got used to it and made good friends, however, since it was just a ramp season as they call it, they have to do some downsizing, and I was part of it., by the way it was an online shopping account. I got transferred to a Tech Support account, troubleshooting for a gaming console. Same thing goes, I've always been on a panic mode. I never want to take in calls again. The fact that it was so stressful, well for me, since I was not really used to being cursed at, most of the time, (well with my parents, that's acceptable, hehe), but for these people I don't know.. i can't take it. So, after a few weeks of being regularized, I filed my resignation and even told my manager I would never ever, ever would go back working in a call center.

But looks like it did not happen. Back again with the job I thought I hated. I got to rest for 5 months before i decided to go back to taking in calls again. Reason for that is that I didn't like my work as a receptionist anymore. I realized it was more stressful to deal with your boss, (who is stubborn, haha), than deal with foreigners over the phone. And financially, it really helped since I am also currently studying.

And well, a year ago, I got hired in this wonderful company, salary may not be as big as what others offer, but definitely I got attached to the people that made my stay worthwhile. I am now on my second account in this company, because the first account I got assigned had been bought out. Learn to embrace changes as one the company's motto say.

The video I'm sharing now, is a small compilation of all the pictures from the past and present. No future yet. :)

My First Blog Event

The first blogging event I went to was the iBlogMini@CEL held at the World Trade Center in Pasay City, held last November 15, 2009.

It was an exhibit hall, showcasing gadgets, bags, cars, and electronic stuff. The main event was of course Blogging 101 or do’s and don’ts of a new blogger. We were able to listen to the different advices of well known bloggers, from those who venture into business, different adventures of a blogger from Dagupan, a mom blogger, and those who are into podcasting as well. I might be confused or may be loaded with all the information but it was definitely a big help when it comes to creating our own posts. Each of the speaker’s stories was amazing as well. Of course, the most important lesson about everything they have said, BE ORIGINAL, BE YOURSELF!

They happen to manage a mini raffle contest, with prizes such as rice cooker, camera, bags, so on. I’ve always known I am so unlucky with this raffle contests, my name was actually called, I could have won a rice cooker, yet I was so busy signing up in a booth to get a notebook. Grrr. At least there is one in our group who manage to win in the raffle, an Evian mineral water bottle. Congrats Sir CD.

It was a mini adventure with my 2 professors and 3 classmates, which ended in a lot of picture taking, with just anything and eating out at MOA.

I'm definitely hoping to come to another blogging event like this. Thanks to all the speakers!

Take two

Okay, so this is a continuation of my first blog. I was not able to answer the questions given to me. Here they are:

1) What is your first impression about blogging?

My impression on blogging is that it is a diary that you share with others by posting it online. It’s like being a columnist for all newspapers. One thing I told myself I can never do, thinking that I won’t have any good ideas or stories to share, and that I won’t be an effective writer. Most of the bloggers I know personally know are media oriented, so I thought this idea of blogging is exclusive for them who have wide vocabulary skills and amazing ideas they can get in a snap.

I just enjoy reading other people’s blogs because it is so personal. Some are funny, entertaining and most are informative as well.

2) Consider the Top 20 winners of Emerging and Influential Blogs of 2009, Do you think they deserve to win? What certain qualities does their blogs have that made them win?

Of course they deserve to win! All of the bloggers are very creative and proved the dedication to the articles or topics they focused on. Uniqueness of the articles is the quality that made them win, and knowledge on the topics people usually are interested on.

Alright, off for now. I am definitely looking forward for a wonderful blogging experience ahead. Soon I will be posting stuff just about anything.

New one but me

Well, this is the first post I ever had, and took me hours just to put words on it! Okay, let’s say weeks, lack of an idea. Shame. And as a school project, I really need to do this, haha. Since me and my classmates are just new to the world of blogging, and not really sure on what to talk or post on the site, our Professor Ms. Joan Pinon gave us the list of the Top 20 winners of Emerging and Influential Blogs of 2009 which can be found on http://www.influentialblogger.net, for us to browse and read on, which is a good way for us newbies to get something of what the world of blogging is really all about. I must say, I have enjoyed reading few articles from the sites. Everything is very interesting and informative. And why of course will she ever forget to include her own site which is http://joansweetie.blogspot.com on the list.

Guess this will be a good start for me as a blogger and make sure this will be continued, no matter what happens! And wow, I have created my first blog and post ever! As simple as this. Now preparing for the second post.
